Cake decorating and designs are probably the most fun part about baking a cake, but also the most time consuming, and most perfection needed part. Decorating a cake can be needed for any occasion a wedding, a first communion, and birthday, and each one of these events needs a perfect decoration that can be related to the owner of the cake by just looking at it. For example if a boy is really into cars for his birthday his cake may be decorated with cars either painted on, or even made with chocolate, or candy.
However if it is a girl's birthday her cake may have a Barbie on, or even the cake may be a Barbie which is really cool, or just plain pink. The eight little cakes are different flavors, which is an amazing idea, but when decorating is a real pain because you have to make sure the eight pieces look exactly the same, because they are the same cake. Thus if you ever need cake decorating and designs make sure you have the huge amount of patient that is needed and the right amount of needing perfection, because if not then you would get good flavored cakes, but with no good decorations, which at the end sometimes what really matters, for example for the wedding pictures, and even the birthdays.
